On Tour, June 5- 30, Adunni Dares to Dream, by Taiwo & Wale Ajao #CHILDREN #NEWBOOKALERT

Adunni Dares to Dream tells the childhood story of Dr. Ethel “Adunni” Adeloye (the mother of the author) who became a Pediatrician that spent her entire career serving at-risk families from the Inner City of Baltimore in Maryland. Over the course of 4 decades, Dr. Adeloye worked at several busy hospitals while running her own practice, Agape Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine for several years, providing love and service to families even if they could not afford care. Now retired, she transitions into directing her own non-profit, Noah’s Ark Medical Clinic and Mission, and returns to her native home in Africa as the Medical Director of Agape Children’s Specialist Hospital, a facility that will provide preventative care to the underserved, especially children who are poor and without opportunity, just as she was in the book. Dr. Adeloye “Dares” our children “to Dream”, despite obstacles, lack and disadvantages. Dr. Adunni Adeloye’s story restores the hope that is found in family, friendship, and community; and renewed trust in a faithful God who provides all things good.

Completed Tour Sense to Believe by Elizabeth Honaker, April 24-28, #CHRISTIAN #DRAMAPLAY

The subject of light is a theme found throughout the Bible: God created light on the fourth day of Creation; Moses’ first revelation of God came through a burning bush; several of the prophets reported encountering beings of light who delivered messages from God; and then there is the Light of the World, Jesus Christ. As with any dramatist, I wanted to explore my chosen subject in a fresh way. I “lit” on the miracle of the Jerusalemite who was healed in a wondrous way by the Master Healer Himself.

As I read and reread portions of John’s Gospel that contains this story, I was fascinated by the new insights I “saw”: the yearning of a blind man who knew his need; the disdain of the religious leaders who already believed they “saw”; the amazement of people who witnessed a decaying corpse infused with abundant, new life. I saw that these are much more than a string of stories, somehow related because of the area in which they occurred. Instead, they are a Grand Theme designed by a Father of Light who wants all to see Love in action.

an_ember_in_time_front_cover_art_flattened_v2_1 Pastor Jon Stevens has grown weary trying to argue with his church over every little thing. His passion in life has felt as if it has fizzled in front of him. He is caught in a downward spiral. He would rather keep his feelings on a shelf and just visit them on occasion as he needed to. He keeps a plastic smile on his face. Sometimes he imagines himself as a used car salesmen. He throws on a cheap suit every Sunday. He trying desperately to peddle the same God that everyone in his town seems to know about and has heard of before, and where does it get him? He knows his attitude is wrong. But if he walked down to Charley’s Auto Bonanza and got a job; at least he would be making commission.
However, that is when God steps in. God sends Sergio a time traveling angel to give him the opportunity to experience any time in Biblical History with the stipulation that he not interact with anyone. He goes back to watch David kill Goliath. Due to a chance encounter on the road with a very young Bathsheba carrying a basket of flowers, Jon makes his crucial mistake.
